superc_1
Going to install weber on the L20B. Will I need the universal cable linkage to install carb? I'm fixin to order adapter plate and was wondering about linkage. Thanks Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
My 521 linkage bolted on to the weber DGV(they thought ahead!!!!!) You might have to shim up with washers so the cable mount holder lines up with the cable that sits in the little groove. Quote Link to comment
superc_1
I'm not talking about the cam linkage that goes on the back of the carb, but the little arm thing that holds the thottle cable at a fixed point. My truck is a 77 KC and I was thinking it has a bracket bolted to the manifold; which, should work with the weber? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I believe I slotted the stock cable mount holder as the carb adapter the holes are spaced out farther. I had bought used carbs and never had the accessories that come in the kit cause I never seen them. If it comes with the Weber kit, yeah you it youll know if it works or not Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
If you buy NEW weber kit it should come w/ the cable bracket. It bolts to the 2 outer adapter bolts. Quote Link to comment
superc_1
I brought the weber from freaky510. I'm just ordering the adapter plate, and was wondering do I need the linkage adapter for the thottle cable or will the stock holder work with the 32/36 weber carb on my 77 KC truck. superc_1
Thanks, that just what I needed to see. It looks a little skewed, but does that bind up any? Quote Link to comment
