650savag
I pulled the valve cover off and was going to check the valve lash on my truck (L20B). I may be wrong, but it looks like I will need a special wrench to loosen the lock nuts. I may be looking at the wrong hex shaped nut. It is a thin hex nut and it looks like a fairly large metric size. I don't have a metric wrench that big (maqybe a 20 or 21 mm) and it looks like it will need to be off-set some because the nut is almost level with or below the surface of the head. I understood from reading some of the helps and looking in my repair manual that the lock nut was a 17 mm and the hex that you turn to increase or decrease the clearance was a 14 mm. Can someone give me some advice on this? Thanks, Dan Quote Link to comment
