greengo
I was wondering if I can buy that alum brite spray? Or do I have to polish it ? Quote Link to comment
izzo
Yes, its the same as spraying it on the alum wheels I buy the napa brand stuff, works great. Just dont leave it on to long, i think 30 seconds or a minute max you want to try and remove the gummed up/real thick stuff first. Quote Link to comment
greengo
Well I already cleaned it up so.. I just wanted it to look better got a full rebuild kit and new air filter and air box... Ill see after I get it running how well it runs.. Quote Link to comment
yello620
Polish it. But it needs repolish attention often to keep them shiny Quote Link to comment
izzo
Heres how well the alum bright shit from napa works. This my alum wheel when i got it. I scrubbed it with SOS pad, scotch bright, dawn dish soap, and misc other cleaners. This is as clean as it got.. This is with that alum brightener. Just a few squirts to coat the entire wheel, i let it set for a minute, then spray it off. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
So that Alum bright really does work huh? I've never seen anyone use it, but I eye it from time to time on the shelf. How do you think it'd do on mags? Since aluminum polish and mag polish are the same, I imagine it must do something, in theory, correct? Quote Link to comment
izzo
my buddy used it on his neon SRT rims, they are mag or w/e. It didn't make it shine like chrome, but if you polished it, it would make them shine real nice. Made the rims look like they had a light coat of road film on them. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
How do you think it'd do on mags? Are you asking about magnesium mag wheels? or aluminum mag wheels? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Are you asking about magnesium mag wheels? or aluminum mag wheels? Not sure to be honest. It's the Z 6 spoke that I'm referring to. Quote Link to comment
