fisch
Wondering if 510 2-door, 4-door and Wagon rear Quarter panels are the same? Before you call it out, I understand that the wagon taillights would be different if you go that high. I also get that different years have different side markers. What I am specifically wondering about is the lower portion behind the wheel, say, from just above the bumper, down. (The place that rots!) Quote Link to comment

fisch
Thanks Indy! Good info to have in this thread. I also heard from James (AKA keeper)who is certainly an expert on replacing Datsun Sheet metal. The story is the Back rear of the 4-door and the 2-door 510 are the same (Obviously the 4-door would be different in front of the wheel because of the extra door. Might have the same contour though?) But the wagon rear QP is not the same. (Beyond just the tail light situation.) At least not close enough to make it work. Quote Link to comment
Duncan
One problem nobody seems to mention on the replacement patch panels. The radius on some of the replacement panels are not quite the same as the originals. I bought some fender bottoms to replace the ones on my goon, and they are close, but no cigar. I'm either going to have to fab some repair panels myself, or find decent used fenders to cut the bottoms off of. . made in Aus.: ........ they have a good review,,, and good fitment claims on all the NZ/AUS forums: http://www.nissco.com.au/panels_info.php Quote Link to comment
