Subi LSD for 620

Recommended Posts

I have a friend that put the Subi LSD in his 620 but he said he had to get his diff housing machined so it would fit in there. my question for those of you who have done this, is this the case? I have not seen any mention of having to do that on the forums.

I plan on hitting up the junk yards tomorrow and was going to look for a Subi LSD while i am out and about.

sounds like you need to get your friend on here and do a how to article!

by machining,do you mean he converted the entire rear end to irs?

He still has the solid axle under there. I think he is a member on here, I know he at least lurks here, he told me about the site when I got my truck. I will have to ask him about the details again, but if I remember right is was something to do with making the bearing fit.

I thought I found an LSD for $75 but it was a VLSD.

My friend said he got his LSD out of a '95 Legacy Wagon with a 5-speed. He had a friend of his in Idaho do the machining to get it to fit so, he was not sure what all had to be done. I am hoping I can find one soon so I can compare and give it a try. I will keep you guys posted.
