Stfwells
So...check this out. I installed some new RS9000XL shocks and a RS5000 steering stabilizer the other weekend. After about a week, I came home to see this boot hanging from under the Excursion like a limp dick... Upon further inspection.... WTF!?!?! Quote Link to comment

SoCaLKiDz
Dude that sucks... I just put the blisten 5150 shocks all the way around my 01 Powerstroke Excursion... So far great shocks Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Looks like a form of spot welding where the two pieces are pressed tightly together and a heavy current passed through it to heat and melt the connection. You can take back and demand a new one or just have someone with a mig tack it on more securely. Quote Link to comment
Stfwells
Yeah....didn't even get her dirty. I contacted Rancho directly. They are going to over-night me a replacement. And they want me to ship back the broken one. I figure I'll measure the fucker before I replace it with the new one. Just to make sure my Ford isn't different from every other Super Duty/Excursion out there.!?!? Quote Link to comment
Stfwells
Update... Finally received the replacement and double checked the throw. No binding or over-extending on the turn-to-turn.... We'll see how she holds up over the next few days. I plan on hitting the trails this weekend...that'll be the test! Perhaps I just got a bad one??? Time will tell... Quote Link to comment
Stfwells
UPDATE... Over 500 miles on the replacement stabilizer. I retract my previous statement that Rancho blows. In fact, they were extremely sincere and helpful with my situation. I suppose that it was just a bum weld on the previous unit...these things happen. Quote Link to comment
