Skib
Skib didn't the turbo use a CAS and the NA just a matchbox? ya an N/A 280zx dizzy just has the matchbox while the 81 turbo has an external CAS with a trigger wheel and the 82/83 turbos have an internal CAS Link to comment
akumazedex
So the difference is either 81 or 82/83? Basically internal and external cas? Link to comment
Skib
So the difference is either 81 or 82/83? Basically internal and external cas? ya 81 has dizzy that only has a rotor in it and an external CAS and the 82/83 set ups have the CAS in the dizzy. either way tho you need to have the dizzy matching the year of your ECU and harness Link to comment
akumazedex
Ok ecu is out of an 82 turbo auto. Same as the harness Link to comment
Skib
Ok ecu is out of an 82 turbo auto. Same as the harness ok the turbo dizzy I have woulnt work then you need an 82 turbo dizzy with the internal CAS Link to comment
akumazedex
Allrightythen, well thanks for clarifying things for me. Link to comment
Skib
np, lol be glad you got the internal stuff. the external CAS is a PITA. its mounted on the front of the crank with a trigger wheel and you have to set the trigger wheel/CAS gap with a fuckin feeler gauge. I had that one mine and had a big ass front mount and I had to take all my IC piping off, set it, put it back on, test it. and it if wasnt right I had to do it all over again. Link to comment
