izzo Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 Problem is there is no hood release cable, it was busted up pretty bad when i got the car, I had a piece of wire on there to pop the hood. Link to comment

jun Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 If the hardware is already there (lever and hood latch) then all you need is a bicycle brake cable and housing set! Keep it JDM and get yourself a Shimano SLR :D Link to comment
dgi Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 I couldn't find a left hand drive cable anywhere. So, I bought this right hand drive cable on ebay although I didn't have to pay that much shipping. 510 hood release cable Then I just used two 1 1/2" tubes as standoffs with 2 longer screws and put it right in the location of the orignal left hand drive cable. Took 10 minutes. My total cost was about $25. Link to comment
