datsunfish
I got a set of those when I was trying to get a couple dattos going and they fouled out.I had to clean the hell out of them but they came back to life. They dont really seem any better than the standard ngk's and I run both with matchbox and msd. They should come gapped but you can still tweak them. That electrode is pretty strong.Dont under gap them.Maybe check them all where there at now first. datzenmike
Be careful if cleaning, these plugs have a thin coating of iridium that is easily scratched off. Do not file them and use care when adjusting the gap. You shouldn't even have to adjust them. Quote Link to comment
521Lvr
yeah... you shouildn't have to gap them. but if you do.. they make a plug gapper that has a small notch in it. The notch is for hooking on the ground strap so you can bend it to where you want it and you never have to force the tool between the electrode and the strap. oh yeah. these plugs are no good for turbos. the extra psi can and will make them come apart and send the pieces through the engine and the turbo Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The advantage of Iridium is that they last longer. They don't actually work better, but after 1 year or more they should still work like new, while a regular plug needs re-gapping, at the least. Quote Link to comment
fiveNdime
I second that. They last longer. I would especially use them in hard to reach areas where you never want to venture to in the near future. Just make sure to use good wires too otherwise your waisting your time. kinda like a good speaker with crappy wire...... Quote Link to comment
