Braden
go rent a tool, ive used every kind but that kind and they were all a pain in the ass, i used the clamp style and got mine together, its not like you have a lot of valve springs to do, go to the auto parts store, (not oreillys) and rent one. Duke
When I did the valves on my KA head, I used this tool: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?store=snapon-store&item_ID=72214&group_ID=1578 It is crazy how easy it makes getting the keepers in and out. This is a video that shows how easy it is: Link to comment
deadmonkey
@ Duke, that's a pretty sweet tool! I used this one from local autoparts (Smucks) for $20. It wasn't the best, but got the job done. http://shop.oreillyauto.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=WMR&MfrPartNumber=W84001&CategoryCode=3491 Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Go to Autozone and spend $28(I think) on renting one. They work great. When you're done, return it to Autozone and get all your money back. Link to comment
