go rent a tool, ive used every kind but that kind and they were all a pain in the ass, i used the clamp style and got mine together, its not like you have a lot of valve springs to do, go to the auto parts store, (not oreillys) and rent one.

@ Duke, that's a pretty sweet tool!

 

I used this one from local autoparts (Smucks) for $20. It wasn't the best, but got the job done.

Go to Autozone and spend $28(I think) on renting one. They work great. When you're done, return it to Autozone and get all your money back.
