wayno
Hi there ratsuners, I do beleave I found a source for window channel felt for our 520&521 pickups, I bought this felt in the late 90s, and I found it today while looking around for another part, I put it in one side(empty) of my 521KC door and rolled it up and down, it seemed to work fine. I have not done a complete door yet. The down side is it is not cheap, it's for my 1967 datsun roadster, it came from rallye enterprizes and is currently available #802-24, for $40.00 you would get enough for one door, the 521 needs about 80". The piece they sell is enough for the both doors on the roadster, it has little doors. The piece I bought is 102" long. Has anyone tried this felt? wayno Quote Link to comment
zed1
The measurements I found on my 520 window channel are: .576 (9/16”) base inside .475 side inside Based on these dimensions, I have identified these felts: http://www.fairchildind.com/app/standard_products.asp?cat=4 http://www.technologylk.com/crl-beaded-flexible-universal-narrow-channel-for-1948-1962-various-model-cars-60-in-long-lk-Y630P60.html http://www.crlaurence.com/crlapps/showLine/offerpage.aspx?ProductID=17138&GroupID=20815&History=19748:19780:20757&ModelID=20815 http://www.jcwhitney.com/all-rubber-window-channels/p2009944.jcwx?skuId=170760&filterid=j1 Unfortunately, I have not been able to obtain samples to verify that they fit properly. wayno
Hi there everyone, here are the Oics of the window channel felt, I think it is going to work. It is made with rubber, but you fold it into the cannel. It doesn't stick out as you can see in the oics. The little hollow tubes on both sides collapse as you roll the window up. wayno
that looks like the same as whats used for the 510... how wide is it flat? 1 7/16", I like the way it looks, but it is kinda spendy. I am assuming that the company selling it is still selling the same stuff, I bought this channel felt over ten years ago. wayno Quote Link to comment

wayno
OK, I don't know the order these are in, but two are of stock felt, and two are of the roadster channel felt, each one with glass and without glass. The stock felt without glass is a so-so oic; I couldn't get the camera to focus properly. I will get the roadster felt in my 521KC drivers door in the next couple weeks and let eveyone know how it works. wayno Quote Link to comment
