Good job doing a motor swap on the street! Takes way more effort than in a garage. keep it up! by the way was that the original motor that you pulled out? did mexico 510's get a different motor than US ones from the factory?

yes it is the original engine (j16)

But dude a J16! Wish I could find one of those here in the states as I think it would bolt into my 1959 Datsun! (Though a J18 would be even better!)

 

Can you tell me if the J16 was 3 main bearing or 5 main? I can't remember!
