510kevin
hey guys, i have an l20b in my car with a shorty header. the previous owner had 2 gaskets stacked to make the header/intake gasket. its already leaking (imagine that!) and im looking for a good replacement. any preferences? part numbers? should i look for a copper gasket? i plan on pulling the header in the next few days and straight-edging it, to see if its warped. let me know what has worked for you!!! ;) Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Just get one from your local parts house. Chances are you'll get a Felpro or Victor Reinz. Either will work(as long as you don't double stack them  ) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Put a straight edge on the header flange. Badly warped? The header flange should be the same thickness as the intake for best sealing. If you look at the bottom bolts/studs you'll see that Nissan uses a large thick sort of cone shaped washer to bridge across and hold both the intake and the exhaust manifolds. If one is taller than the other the washer will clamp the taller one better. Quote Link to comment
