I have a 74' 620 and as I went to test the wipers, they were very slow. Are these wiper motors multiple speeds and if so what do I need to do to correct the problem?

Yes, 74 has high and low speed (or should) the diodes inside are probably burned up. my 1980 720 had a normal slow speed, but fast was super slow. I replaced the motor and it works great now.

The ones on my dime were super slow (to the point where they would actually stop in the middle sometimes, lol). I though it was the motor also, (because it's faily common), so I changed it out and no change. So I removed all the linkage inside of the cowl, and found one of the spindles was all but seized up solid. I cleaned everything up, lubed it real good, put it all back together, and it works better now than it did 25 years ago. (just another thing to look at)
