driveline for SR20 swap

does anyone know the proper driveline length for an sr swap into a dime?

From the little bit of reading I have done its going to be dependent on your swap. Motor position and what not...

 

but please correct me if I am wrong. :lol: like i have to ask :P

Depends on the transmission used. Likely the FS5W71C similar to the 240sx one. There is no definitive answer to this. Install the motor and transmission in their final positions and measure carefully and have a shop do it. No way I would trust someone else's "Ya when me and bubba slipped one in we cut and welded it three times but it worked out to 43" This is a recipe for disaster.

Ya just pay someone to cut it,It's not that bad ($), there should be a local shop around. That's the last thing you want a DIY driveshaft!

thanks fellas. yeah I was gonna have a shop shorten and balance it for me. I will just have to wait till I can get the tranny cross member to be modified and bolted in..
