1eightySX
So today I started on my B210. Everything seems to be going ok but because I didn't have a stock carb when I started it has hard to tell what goes where. So if anybody has pictures of their A14 engine with a weber on it, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to verify that I have the fuel lines going to the right places and see how the throttle cable hooks up, and double check the Vac lines. Finally figure out what I do with the coolant line that seems to lead to no where. Metalmonkey has been helping but any other help would be awesome. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
What year B210 do you have? Vacuum hoses are very different each year. And canadian is different in the later years. There's only one place the fuel line goes: to the inlet on the Weber. There is no fuel return line. Here's one photo B210 A14 with Weber carburetors. Quote Link to comment
1eightySX
It is a 1978. I am going to have to take a picture of my engine as well post it up. I should mention that mine is a dual weber 32/36 carb. Quote Link to comment

1eightySX
Well, needless to say those last few pics won't help me out too much.:) I will go take a picture of the engine bay tonight (if it stops raining). That way you can see what I am dealing with, Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Dave, they don't run those RAM manifolds in Finland, because they will ice up. You'll find out this winter... :-) Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Me too that's where the good Nokia tires come from. I was wrong about the return line. The first B210 didn't have it but starting in 1975 they did. here's my 1978 "H" B210 (A14) photos: Quote Link to comment
1eightySX
Those are the type of pics I need. Thanks Quote Link to comment

Pumpkn210
I want to take the driving courses and tests you have over there! EPIC skillz, all the good rally drivers come from there! How hard would it be for a American to get to take those? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, "Tire Factory" stores here carry Nokian tires. Hakkapilitta 7? Hakkapilitta 5 is only avaiable now. I was thinking of Hakkapilitta RSi, since we do not get much ice here. Quote Link to comment
1eightySX
If I am missing anything/parts let me know. I hope these pictures help explain my issues. I don't really know much about carbs, so assembling the weber without a diagram or instructions is no fun. 1.Not too sure where that line should, I have some ideas but want to be certain. 2.What do most people do with this guy? 3. This line was found on the other side of the engine and is "T'ed" of in the middle, I noticed that the carb has been capped off. Curious where this one runs to. 4. I know the throttle cable doesn't go through there. I also understand that I need to fab up a bracket but am I missing anything else there? 5. Close up. 6. I think I saw a picture that directed that line into that slot, but what goes into the one next to it? Or am I way off. 7. Picture for fun of the car itself with my car in the background:) 8. And because it is a Datsun Forum, here is the car how it sits now. I am excited to change the wheels and suspension but first it must run. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Man those are some killer shots! What kind of camera are you using? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Must be a Nikon to make a picture that good. Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
#1 Appears to be your gas tank vent that usually runs to an evap canister. #2 I think is for the smog pump, but could probably just be blocked with a big bolt or get one from an A15 that won't have that. #3 That's going to be run to the vac port on the bottom of the carb below the throttle plate. Probably the one that you said is capped? (Assuming its capped on the carb and not on the line) #4 Looks like everything you have there is correct, also looks like you got yourself a nice simple throttle bracket too Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
That's weird. I think it should not be there. Most guys fit the air cleaner to this tube. It also makes a nice lifting handle but you can remove and put a quarter in the hole. Distributor vacuum advance line. Bolt the stock Hitachi carb throttle shaft lever to the Weber carb here EGR signal vacuum hose goes next to this hose. Quote Link to comment
1eightySX
Just a Nikon D70. It is pretty decent not quite as good as the new D90. I wouldn't mine getting a new DSLR for video.... but I am broke. Most of my pictures end up DODOlogic but the others that contribute usually take better shots then I do. Anyway, I hope the pictures help diagnose my problems. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Here is the throttle quadrant off the stock Datsun carburetor, it will bolt onto the Weber 32/36. Just make a better bracket than the one I made 25 years ago :P Quote Link to comment
