So I saw a mini truck the other day and it had a box that connected the bed and the cab it's like a cubby thing but I thought the cab and the bed were suppose to be unconnected? It was cool cuz he had two 15's in a single cab Toyota but idk wat do u guys think?

oics? It is called a port thru or blow thru, I have 2 sets of gaskets to do just such a thing, twice!

Sry I don't have any pics it was at mcdiddles and he saw my datsun and we started talking and he showed me his mini truck and it was like a metal box that opened into the cab! God I should of took pics! Dammit! I'll make a drawing tomorrow and see if you guys could see wat I am talking about

It was a blow thru, little bit of work. I got a king cab so I dont need to do that. It is great to put boom in a small cab truck tho.

I welded my cab to the box and made the bulk head removable so when I put my canopy on I remove the window and back of the cab for a walk through. I havent had the conopy on for quite awhile and I have been thinking about building a closure to house my tools and sub. The box and cab should be seperate. the box is tight to the frame and the cab has rubber mounts. If I was a 4x4 and going off rd all the time this would be a problem. but so far so good. I say do it! Sorry no pix yet I have to get to work now. not much to look at though. Just weld it up man! Get some bass in that tiny truck!

i found something similar on some truck website but it was like this but the bed side was enclosed it was pretty sick and like i said he was able to put 2 15's in it but i only have one mtx 15 but it would be cool to have more room in the cab i still dont know yet hey

Sorry for lack of pix I feel like a total looser for the no pix thing :rolleyes:

I am heading out of town for the weekend and I have to take some pix of my set up.

basicly what i did was removed the bulkhead from the box and cut with a zip disk through the cab.

Then I welded in some angle iron to fill the gaps. It was a spur of the moment thing and I didn't put much thought into it. but ultimately it worked out and now the cab and box are one! I will get you some pix soon. :bye:
