laniadude
anyone have mounts for a bench seat in a 620??? Link to comment
bluemeanie
I found the mount for mine in the garage. Cordless drill, drill bit, 4 bolts, lockwashers, and nuts. :D Link to comment
laniadude
thanks, but I was looking for something more on the functional side...lol Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
The seat rails are welded to the floor. If yours have been cut/removed angle iron or some strong L brackets will work. Link to comment
laniadude
my seat rails are still in tact...the problem is the brackets that mount to the seat are missing...So I guess the question is, Are the brackets interchangable on all seats? Link to comment
pope_face
Are you keen on keeping the bench? You could always swap over to bucket seats. As for the brackets... I wish I could help ya, but I really don't know... I just know that the benches vary in widths between a couple of the models... Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
What kind of bench is in there now? Usually seat tracks are welded to the seats themselves & may require you drilling out the spot welds to remove them. If you have a drill & a grinder anything is "interchangeable" :D Link to comment
datsunaholic
You talkin' about this part? That's the slider assembly (attached to a '77 Bench). The slider assembly bolts to the bench frame (also visable, it's the curved part). The curved part is integral to the bench- if it's gone, it had to be cut off and the bench is worthless. The "bolt" on the slide rail goes through the lip rail on the floor of the truck. That rail is welded to the floor- it's actually part of the cab. The rear tab on the slide rail simply bolts to the floor, there's supposed to be a nut tack-welded to the floor that the bolt goes through. This is the lip rail (it's yellow in the pic... I have buckets in this truck, but you get the idea) Link to comment
laniadude
I'm not sure how to explain how my seat looks, so here are some pics....It looks to me like I just need the sliders..... here are some pics to help explain...:) Link to comment
datsunaholic
It's not helping that you have a not-a-Datsun seat in there. You're gonna have to cobble something together. Link to comment
laniadude
OIC...thanks though..I just thought they sell slider assemblies that bolt on to seats.. Link to comment
datsunaholic
Not ones that fit in a 620 very well... be easier to hunt the junkyards and pull a pair off an old bench. Most aftermarjet seats have you bolt straight through the floor, or use the existing ones. I just threw away an old 620 bench a couple weeks ago. The rails were in really bad shape, though.
