what
Kind of misses at a idle all of a sudden. Pulls really good with out any hesitation at all. But the missing at idle drives me crazy. It doesnt idle rough its only noticable out the exhaust pipe. Could it be that my valves need adjusted. Nothing else has seemed to stop it from missing? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Have you cleaned the plugs? Also, is it only when the engine is cold or is it when it's warm too? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Idle mixture? Has no effect above idle. Quote Link to comment

SHAMUS'WAGON
I had the same problem for years. Figured out that my cylinder 3 needs to be adjusted about every six months. I don't know if this is common for the L series, but I've gotten use to having to to it. Try tightening your manifold bolts before you do a valve adjustment though. A vacuum leak at the intake or the carburetor has caused it for me also. Quote Link to comment
Datsun fan
Either a vacuum leak = Perform aerosol spraying test Or Valve adjustment = Listen carefully to your engine . good luck . Quote Link to comment
