butcherboyjc
I'm re-building the front end and I purchased 14mm balljoints instead of the 11mm that I needed. So now I can't put my strut assembly back in. What is the the part called that is bolted on the balljoint and the outer tie-rod end (picture below). Would it be easier to buy another set of ball joints or maybe someone on here has an extra set (of the pic below) that is for a 14mm balljoint, that they don't need. I really don't want to spend another 80 bucks on a set of ball joints just yet. Or is there a interchangeable part that I can try to get from a local jy like from the early Z's? Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Yeah, that's your steering knuckle, it is tapered. I wouldn't F with it.. that'd be a shame to have to go looking for another one of those.. Can't you just take the ball joints back? Do it right man. Quote Link to comment
bonvo
Do it right man. hence why i sugested a machine shop bigger ball joints would be better anyway and if you go to a good machine shop it will be like they came factory that way Quote Link to comment
