B210 - 4Spd to 5 Spd - Has Anyone Done This?

I have 2 '78 B210's.I'm trying to switch the 4speed to a 5 speed.

Has anyone else done this?I'm having problems with the rear transmission

mount lining up (on the 4 speed).

From April '76 on the B-210 had an optional FS5W63A dogleg 5 spd option so the parts are out there for it. If you don't have the rear mount you will have to make one.

 

Not clear if you have one 4 and one 5 speed and you are swapping it?

I'm swapping both transmissions between 2 cars - but

I'm having a hard time getting the rear transmission mount to

line up.

I've got to go take another look at it.

The 4 speed I got from the 77 I junked fit right into the dogleg 5 speed spot in my 59. But are they the same length trannies? There is 2 lengths available.

After switching transmissions I found out that the rear transmission

mounts are different on the 4 & 5 speed cars.I just wasted a lot of time,as

they are NOT interchangable.I'm amazed that Datsun didn't do that.

The 2 spare cars are going to a good home in Illinois.
