banzai510(hainz)
get a FELPRO gasket set and bolt it back together watch olddatsuns.com tech section L series timming chain install. http://www.guba.com/general/search?query=hainz&set=5&x=0&y=0 PS get a Jap cam timming sprocket. You have the shitty one where you cant see the Timming mark. Trust me Quote Link to comment
Loco2crasy
Thanks Banzai, I will do. Any other suggestion on decent parts I could put in. Don't want to go to cheep and break down on me cause of it. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
This is my opinion here. you either do a full rebuild $$$$$$$$ or just keep it running. Ig you want to go on the cheaper side. I would get the head gasket set/front cover set from Felpro. and get the spocket that has the 4 inspection holes so you can see the v notch thru it. and maybe get a new chain tensioner and slock side guide. Maybe cheaper if you can get a timming chain kit. but get a good set. Do not get the Cloyes or Melling brand as the y have those lame 3 inpection hole sprokets. But I dont know the history of this motor only you do . Really depends if this is a oil burner or not. Quote Link to comment
racerx
It really depends on funds and skills. If you have both then rebuild but do a compression check first. Quote Link to comment
