Smiley720
So, I was thinking. If the square dash in a D21 can be easily swapped out with the round dash out of a 97 D21, wouldn't the round dash fit right into my 85 720? I thought the dash was the same in the 85 720 and the 86 D21. Any info would be great cause I am going to pull the dash out of the donor this weekend unless I hear otherwise. Quote Link to comment
Smiley720
I guess if no one has ever done this, then I feel compelled to do it. Donor truck gets stripped this weekend Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
Just take some mesuments you can always trim, I have a z dash in a 510 as long as its not too much wider i dont see an issue Quote Link to comment
72240z
The 1st gen and 2nd gen d21 dashes themselves are swappable. Idk if swapping any dash can be done "easily" though lol. Always such a pita. I think the 720 dash is narrower then the d21, by how much idk. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
I have a 720 in my 620. Yeah it fits pretty much but in order to make it work there was an unbelievable amount of work. I'm very happy with the results (only the high beam indicator doesn't work) very trick but no one knows haw much work it was. No I wouldn't do it again. :P Quote Link to comment
Smiley720
Sounds neat man! Lets see some new pics man! The interior is classified at this moment. That is, unless you come by the house and check it out. The only thing I have left to do is the dash, carpet and seats. Everything is finished. Quote Link to comment
