sicAsic
i'm in the process of converting my 4 speed transmission to 5. the mileage is 93,000 mileage, is it necessary to purchase a clutch kit unit based on the mileage or adjustment can be made to its original release. presently the clutch feels at a high point prior to releasing. by the way, the 5 speed is a dogleg type from 200sx. thank you very much for your input. giles Quote Link to comment
DanielC
Compare the price of the parts vs. the time and effort you will put in to replace the clutch later. You really should look at the clutch disk, to get an idea of how much wear you have lets on it. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
Murphy's law applies here.If you DON'T do the clutch now-it will fail shortly down the road. And then you'll get to pull the trans all over again.Do everything now and foget about it.If that unit has 93K on it,it is approaching the 3/4 mark of it's lifespan.
