One thing about VG's is to never turn the motor backwards before starting them. It will loosen up the timing belt tension, then you could possibly jump time when you start the car. VG33 motors are still interference, but Nissan redesigned the timing gears and belt to have teeth that are about twice as big. Less likely to skip/strip I suppose. Link to comment
