Ratsun Extravaganza

I am thinking about putting together a "Ratsun Extravaganza" at Pikes Peak International Raceway. PPIR is just south of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"Datsun Cruz In"

featuring:

Car Show / Auto Cross / Time Trial

What do you guys think? If there is some interest I will get my guys on planning it. Perhaps we could team up with another event already scheduled at the track and have a "challenge"?

I think this is a great idea, Bob. I would not have anything to drive to it if it were to be help anytime prior to May, but I've seen enough "Dude, are you gonna have your car ready for Canby" threads on here. Colorado is close enough and "I would hope to have my truck ready in time for PPIR".

.... maybe add a swap meet?... I'll bring the Bacon Explosion if someone can bring a smoker. ( http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/

Sounds like fun to me, as long as we get plenty of notice to get ready.

Any of you guys that think it's too far are wimps! When I bought my KC, it had a bad carb (wouldn't idle & stumbled bad) and a leaky radiator. I nursed it from Phoenix to about 100 miles north of PPIR in 16 hours. people drive their $50,000 street rods and muscle cars from all over the US to go to weekend car shows. Just go to a NSRA of Good Guys event, and look at the plates from all over the US and Canada. A friend and I are planing to go to the back to the 50s show in Minneapolis this summer. They were built to drive, now drive 'em!
