DISLEXICDIME Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 I have some vibration issue . I just went to pull my half shafts off and the bolts where loose. I noticed that the washers where flat. So i went to home depot and bought some washers. But now i am having second thoughts. do you guys think it is a good idea to drive the car with these lock washers? I am worried that if i do drive it a half shaft might come loose! what do you guys think? Quote Link to comment

philcas1987 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Share Posted November 27, 2009 We reused the stock shoulder bolts and nuts. The stock split lock washers were flatened. We used I think grade 3 or 5 split lock washers. I say a lock washer is a lock washer. Anything is better than one that doesn't work. Quote Link to comment
slodat Posted November 27, 2009 Report Share Posted November 27, 2009 They should be fine. You can't fit a nyloc nut on there, it is too deep and will hit the shafts when they rotate me thinks. I have some new Nissan ish Mikey if you need it!! Quote Link to comment
