P0werPlentySR20
ok so ive read through all the headlight break-downs on here and none are similar to mine so heres the thing. i have a 72 510 (2dr) lights worked fine for the first 2 days i had it then the lows/highs went out. all my other lights come on (interior, corners, blinkers etc.) i checked the headlight fuses and both checked out good...switch is still clicking when i pull it in the (on) position so im sure its not the switch... what else can i check? DanielC
Remember the 510 uses a relay to ground the headlights. Check for voltage at the headlights. The headlights have power applied all the time the headlight switch is on, and the relay completes the circuit to ground, allowing either the low or high beams to come on. Quote Link to comment
moparvwfreak
just because the switch clicks, doesn't mean its working. after checking the relay i would check that your getting continuity throught he switch. if not, then your lights wont work. Quote Link to comment
Creepy Cruiser
Try cleaning the relays under the hood. Just about ever 510 I've ever had, I've had to clean the relay contacts Here is another thread on it to check out. http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=14921 (start at post #8 and down) Let us know if that works.
