flyerdan
Probably well before some of the younger members time, but there was a time, way before the internet, when smoking wasn't synonymous with, oh, impaling babies on spikes. Back then, every restaurant table, every service counter had an ashtray, and usually near said ashtray a bowl of matchbooks. It didn't take long before business names began adorning these items. When I was much younger I made a point of picking up printed matchbooks wherever possible, and just storing them away. I recently found a cigar box with a bunch of prime examples, including this one: Anyone got any other matchbooks to add? Quote Link to comment
stevensonDNL
Nice example! Yes, I'm sure I can scan some interesting matchbooks soon as well. Good idea for a thread. Dan Quote Link to comment
stevensonDNL
Here's an interesting matchbook. It was among a group that my wife picked up at a garage sale years ago. I don't know what language it is, or what country it's from. Dan Quote Link to comment
