dat521gatherer
yeah i know i'm a jackass sometimes and now have a secure battery. but before that i tipped over my battery and it seems the acid got everywhere:eek:. i tried the battery acid neutralizer that comes in the spray can but it didn't seem to help that much. do any home remedies out there work like baking soda? dat521gatherer
cool i've already sprayed it down with the hose to get off the spray can stuff. i also tried degreaser and wd-40. as long as i dont have to break out a sand blaster i'll be ok. Quote Link to comment
stilltwisted
some of the old time mechics use cokecola or shasta ,,the acid in those are a differnt type ,,it will make it easer to clean up with ,soap and water,, also you can shake the can perce a small hole at the bottem and spray into hard to get at places that you cant get a brush into,, i saw it done 10 or more years ago Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Baking soda helps to nuetralize the acid, use coke then baking soda, mix it in water and spray it on with a spray bottle, wire bush, sand, wash, prime and paint the area involved. Quote Link to comment
