bsd510wag
well im goin to run the stock till it blows and then i got another stock one to use for the time being. i heard that some of the roadster had lsd in them theres a yard here that has like 6 of them and if that doesnt work wait till i get some money aside and get a 8.8ford and shorten it or 9in and shorten it. if you have any suggestion let them come Quote Link to comment
DISLEXICDIME
I thought the roadster rear ends where smaller then the 510 wagons? i thought roadsters where h165's and wagons where h 190's? Quote Link to comment
bsd510wag
from what i read they had the same axle just as some of the datsun truck Quote Link to comment

bsd510wag
well had to move the car to my actually house so decided to take some pic of some stuff i have done already. the first thing we ever did was cut and flipped the crossmember the first thing i ever bought was the mckinney motor mount what a waste i didnt know that the factory mounts work and the mickinneymotor mounts were just spray paint. the last thing i have been doing was cleaning up the engine bay completely stripped the paint in the engine bay with that aircraft remover works greatthats is everything up to date Quote Link to comment
bsd510wag
well today i got outside and finished up the rest of the bondo work in the engine bay tried to smooth as much as possible i think i did ok well ended up spraying the bay with truck bed liner this is how it came out this what i used for the liner Quote Link to comment

68wagon
I think you should put the original crossmember that way you still have the your swaybar . The way you have right now you r losing your swaybar Quote Link to comment
bsd510wag
well drop the engine in dont have any pics of the drop in because it was just two of us doing the swap so didnt really plan out on the pics but here is some of how she sits in the car and a pic of the tranny mount i made up Edited October 23, 2009 by bsd510wag Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I think you should put the original crossmember that way you still have the your swaybar . You do understand that the stock location of the crossmember is exactly where the SR oil pan goes, right? You can't properly install an SR with a stock crossmember. The way you have right now you r losing your swaybar You do know there are several companies that sell sway bars specifically for this swap? And they are bigger than stock (that's a good thing)? :P Quote Link to comment
bsd510wag
well havent taking any more pics but i did get some work done on the car got the oil pressure gauge hooked up and ran my fuel lines so hopefully soon it will done to start the engine Quote Link to comment
