Canby 510 pic, HDR editing software?

There was a picture from this years Canby show, of a 510 that had some rust and multiple colors, which someone posted in a thread about the Canby show. I can't find it after much digging, but I want to know the software used to edit the image. Almost looked like HDR, but wasn't. Anyone?

Yep, that's the pic I was looking for. I already know how to do HDR correctly, and use Photomatix for that. But I remember being told in the thread that this was done with another program, and not actually HDR. Curious as to what was used.

if you have photoshop try using the unsharp mask filter, and playing with the red, green, and blue layers to get this effect. I'm pretty sure the photographer did this to get the effect or something similar.
