nismo dr
so you can't give away that tranny taking up space in garage? well before you scrap it, hack off the input shaft and BAM! Best clutch aligner ever. Way more solid than the plastic pos's. and holds the disk straighter in my opinion. Quote Link to comment
woodside4032
Thats a cool trick. We use to do that back in the day. I use to have a stack from all different trannies. Quote Link to comment

LAYEDOUTB2K
thats a pretty cool idea. i have a blown up 4-speed that is getting junked so i'll have to do that. its kind of like something i did with the other side of the tranny. we have so many 510 drivelines laying around that we hacked off one end that slides into the tranny. so now if we need to change a clutch or pull a tranny for any reason, we can slide the driveline end in and not have to worry about draining the fluid or spilling all over. flatcat19
I so wanted to steal that idea from Dana when I saw him dig that out of the bottom drawer of his toolbox. Joe had not a clue! Quote Link to comment
frodo70444
my teacher at school said it used to be faster and easier to take the imput shaft out the tranny line it up and put it back together then put the tranny in the car Quote Link to comment
