Just to be sure... you do know that 620 doors cannot be locked when open, correct? They have to be closed. That being said, sometimes the lock linkage gets bent and won't lock at all. Link to comment
spiffinspudater Posted September 24, 2007 Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 I was going to suggest checking the linkage, making sure the door doesnt already think it is locked (flipping the little mechanism/pulling the handle, and putting some oil on it. (I think MKlotz used white lithium on mine). Link to comment
SHADY280 Posted September 24, 2007 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 well they dont lock, they close fine, but wont lock, the linkage was bent, but i straightend that. ive never tried doing it when it was closed, maybe thats the problem, the pass side used to lock, but it was closed last time i tried. good thing i asked! ill get back to this one Link to comment
fisch Posted September 24, 2007 Report Share Posted September 24, 2007 Does the door just bounce open? I'm also having a door problem. The driver door on my 521 won't latch. The door shuts just fine, but the mechanism won't engage to hold the door shut, so it will swing open freely. In other words, I don't have to lift the handle to get the door open. The door handle it self still has spring tension though. I haven't dug in there yet, but since this topic came up, I thought I'd chime in incase y'all can save me some time sniffing.
