200sx bump steer spacers

I have '84 200sx struts that im looking to put on my '72 2dr dime. I was told to talk to mattndew76 about bump steer spacers. I tried on the realm and ratsun to get ahold of him but no luck. So i was wondering if anyone or any company that might make/have a set.

These are only used when lowering the car, not just because of a strut swap. But are you doing both at once?

 

Ground Control sells bump stter spacers for Nissans.

Matt's the only one I know of who makes the custom 200sx spacer. You could get a normal 280zx spacer from where ever and have an additional adapter spacer machined up.

What the difference? 280ZX and S13, plus others, bolts up to the same steering arms. Is the S10 that different?

'84 is S12 and while the bolts are the same, the cup on the strut and boss on the knuckle are a larger diameter, so when you mate the strut up to a 510, 280zx, whatever knuckle you loose the sheer strength of that cup and boss connection and are left relying on the 10mm bolts. You can do it, but I wouldn't. Perhaps Z-train can chime in and tell everyone I'm bordering on paranoia...it's your car/life.

Ah, all the Japanese bump steer spacers I've seen don't use the ring part. It looks like it would be stronger to use that type. Once again the americans are producing a superior part.

I've been running the 200SX struts with the regular spacers for a long time, with no problems. As far as I know that's what the rest of the guys do as well.

Thanks for everybody's input. I decided that i am going to take the 200sx struts back and the junk yard just got a 280zx, so im going to swap them out for the 280zx struts. Thanks again
