herculesinwyoming
i know 20 gauge is pretty common for american cars, i dont know the metric equivilent, or what thickness they used on ratsuns Quote Link to comment
groatd
hu........... that would work, i was thinking more like 1/4 inch Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I've used 16ga. If you go with 1/4", it won't flex any and the rest of it will start cracking around the edge from stress. Find cheap hood or roof off of a scrap car. Quote Link to comment
herculesinwyoming
why 1/4 inch are you going over to iraq Quote Link to comment
Papi Chulo
lol 1/4" that would weigh like 40lbs I think I used 22ga or 20ga to patch my goods, but I don't remember. Quote Link to comment

whitechef
Watcha do is go out and steal a couple of road signs cut em to size and glue em down with polyurethane adhesive then put a couple of dozen pop rivets in em. Those road signs have steel beat all to shit when it comes to thickness to weight ratio. Quote Link to comment
