Keys for the 620

on a 76 620 can you get a key made for useing the vin number like later model nissans?

we dont have a key to our new beater

When I got my truck. I had 3 different locks for it and only one key to the door. I took all 3 locks down to a lock smith. The lock smith was able to change all 3 locks to fit one key. And it cost me $24 to have it done.

i do recall on my 81 datsun 200sx the ignition switch was just screwed on to th beack of the lock cylender, and after removeing it, it was easy to start with a screw driver, i still had to remove the lock cylender to unlock the steering wheel.

lucky for me the 76 didnt lock so we were able to steer it home

I have one key, It fits my Z and my 620. Try some other datsun keys, have all your buds come over and try theres too, then you can make a copy of theres and have a key for yours and theirs.

so datsun wasnt to big on security :lol:

i have the key to my old 200 sx, i will try it for fun

on the 620 ignition switch there should be sum numbers stamped on the stainless steel cover, if so take the numbers to a lock smith, they might have a Datsun key code book to grind you a new key. Thats what I had to do last year...... :)
