I'd imagine it's welded seeing as how he didn't say what kind of locker. Which isn't really a bad thing on a wheeler...Daily driver, not so good.

 

Good deal maybe, depending on all the extra parts that come with it.

Only with the front hubs lock, unlock them and it will steer like an open diff. You can also phase your axle u-joints to reduce the bind when the hubs are locked, makes it alot easier to turn.

 

My hubs are usually only locked when I am in 4 wheel drive and in the dirt or snow. I've had it on the road between trails and it's noticable but not uncontrollable. I'd do it again in a heart beat.

 

Welded rear will wear your tires a bit faster and you'll feel it in the curves, but if it's a wheeler, your not to concerned about high speed cornering.
