  1. Danny Brown and Black Milk NFWS! http://youtu.be/RBFzuELHAyI http://youtu.be/GTjYCSlBt_4
  2. There you go! Shiiiiit Heiro, remember how dope 3rd Eye Vision was? Oakland Blackouts... damn that brings back memories. I'll still check out Del's new stuff, No Need For Alarm was my first "underground" album I had when I was a kid. lol, I still call women that are full of drama Bobo heads sometimes, nobody gets it but like on of my boys.... Check out Epidemic's Illn Spree http://www.undergrou...pree/EPD11ISCD/ http://youtu.be/avB4SD3RZgk http://youtu.be/-c964c0T1wA
  3. Wow really? Those are all "main stream: in the underground hip hop world. I guess it all comes down to what kind of music you grew up with... Links... try ughh.com and search out Aesop Rock, RJD2, Sage Francis, Epidemic, KNO, EL-P, Blockhead.... most of it will be great stuff, it's just newer stuff that blows. You can check out samples on the site. You can dig into other artists by looking at the similar artist links Blockhead is a good "intrp" into underground hip hop for those that do not listen to hip hop already. http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/blockhead-the-music-scene/ZEN149LP/ So is RJD2 http://www.undergroundhiphop.com/rjd2-deadringer-re-issue/DJX035LP/ Seriously! To each his own. I feel the same way about all other music. I do like some metal bands, I've been going to Slayer every year for like 15 years, old Metallica, Morbid Angel, Pantera...
  4. That red 240 is my new background on my laptop. I use to hate on G-noses, hard, I did not like them at all.... 10 years later and now I want one some day, lol.
  5. what the hell has happened?! I just DL'd the new El-P "Cancer for Cure" (I buy what's good, but sample first) so far it's weak as f#ck! I read a bunch of people jocking it, saying it's like "Fun Crusher" but so far it's more of that indie nerd fantasy rap BS that Def Jux has been putting out for a few years now. Ohhhh wait.... whats this? As I'm typing some good shit just came out my head phones... ooooo it's a hard beat.... Tougher Colder is the track... okay this track is sick so far. I'll reserve judgment but I'm sick of all this weak shit. All my favorite rappers have put out some weak shit for a while so I hope El-P can come through. The last Cage album is straight up emo puss shit with a guy rhyming over some 80's keyboard synth tracks. Sage's last album has a few good tracks but he definitely gets into some weird stuff, it's like folk music rap some times. Aesop Rock hasn't had an album in like 5 years.... Del sounds hella tired and is trying to re-live Both Sides of the Brain, he ran out of music after 3030. Lyrics Born latest is.... I don't know, it's just not good.... too much time digging up old funk samples or something, idk.... Buck 65, was one of my favorite rappers.... but the guy is not hip hop at all anymore, shame because he did some sick shit. Dude use to scratch, mix and rap all at the same time during his shows. Now he wears fluffy shirts and plays a guitar.... I mean don't get me wrong there is still some good shit out there, Danny Brown and Black Milk's "Black and Brown" is dope, Ill'n Spree "Epidemic" is some golden era beats and rhymes that bring you back, Blacastan's "Master Builder " has some tight tracks. KNO is still producing good music, RJD2 has put it down with Icebird and "The Abandoned Lullaby" , Esoteric's "Fly Casualities" has one of the sickest beats on track "Herioc Future".... But there's the problem RJ is like half hip hop producer half indie rock, Eso's last album is just new beats and recycled rhymes even Blacastan's sound is like the early days of Rawkus... Arghh maybe I'm just getting old and hanging on to the old ways, lol. Well now that my rant is over any other hip hoppers feeling the same?
  6. looks good. Snap some pics of the stretch... Roll the fenders and get some poke going on! btw, got my boss to approve the a purchase to recondition our bench top mill!! whoohoo!
  7. Glad you made it home. Let me know if you need to borrow another wheel, lol.
  8. Hell yeah! No prob just let me know! Once I have some more skills I'm planning to offer my time up to local Ratsun guys, in kind favors of course. I'm talking aluminum manifolds, headers, IC piping and the like. I can already do most other things fairly well, not a pro by any stretch though.
  9. If you decide to pull them off and need the holes welded up lmk, just got a shiny new tig welder. That is if you can't do it at home or work.
  10. Have you looked into anything on McMaster Carr? They carry a weather stripping that a lot of guys use on their 240's for the hatch and doors. http://www.mcmaster.com/#bulb-seals/=h9n7w5 in the 240 world it's the edge grip stuff that works. I'm pretty sure I've seen that same GTR before, I mean how many silver GTR's are in Kitsap? I was driving my 09 GTI and was pacing him for a while, trying to get him to "race" me, eventually he got bored with me and zoomed off and I had no chance of keeping up. It was awesome!
  11. Sunday was kinda of a wasted day... Started off good, got up early, went downtown to walk the dog, grabbed some coffee, went to Lowes.... after that though things just fell apart and me, my lady and the dog all got real laaaazy. On the upside I bought a welder today, whoohoo! 250 amps ac/dc tig. I'll be able to wrap this up a lot quicker now, no excuses!
  12. I'm buying a welder!!! This is driving me crazy! Gonna take achance on a Everlast 200dx, been following these for a year.
  13. Thanks! Me neither, lol. I'm gonna have to mock something up and figure it out. Probably just going to weld a big ass bolt onto the ends of some tubing.... no welder, shit makes it a bitch, I'll have to wait until I can go to work to make it.
  14. Just for fun... Here's a shot of my coil over at max height (I left the rear alone) and some ground clearance shots, I drive probably 1" lower. You can see that my driver side fender is bent a bit from a speed bump or something.
  15. Thanks for the advice. I'm done making anymore cuts, that is unless I decide to cut out upper rail. I'm not replacing the lower rails or pulling them in anyway, I will box the lower section back in but that's it. It is already reinforced on the lower section, the rear of the car has a sub frame of sorts too, no sub frame connectors however. I haven't x-braced anything because it's not square anyway. I was planning to pull to motor out tomorrow and probably the control arm on the passenger side. I've thought about doing a strut tower brace before I start pulling on the frame, what Iahd in mind was something like a trun buckle that I could adjust as I pulled on the rail.
  16. Figured I break that big ol picture post up some.... Here's my problem. Should I cut only the section of the car that missing out of my donor part? Basically the inner fender, reaching up under the fender mounting tabs and tieing into the strut tower and the upper rail. Or should I just cut the whole beat ass upper rail out and weld in a new section for the donor? The rails of both are in about the same shape. At first I was worried about welding on structural parts but after looking at the cross section it looks like it would be doable. I'm also thinking that the rail in my car is so fatigued at this point it is probably be the weaker of the two even after welding in the new section. There's also a chance I'll never get the areas I tie into looking right. I've never done a job that big before so I'm apprehensive about getting the new section lined up square. Either way I'm planning to add a strut tower brace, possibly tied into the firewall. I'm all ears!!!
  17. Okay quick background. My Z got hit, body shop did a bad job, I'm fixing it, I've cut out all of the old repair, I'm ready to weld in a new section. So in order to weld in the new section I cut all the bad crap out and this is what I'm left with. Try as I might I still did some damage to my sheet metal removing the work they did, not all my fault though their "tacks" were monstrous and I had about zero chance of drilling them out. Jacked up upper rail, I think it pushed up a bit, mostly it's pushed in towards the motor. To fit the fender on I've been pulling the rail out and slightly down using a come along tied off to my truck, that's what that big hole is for towards the front of the rail. You can see how mangled the upper rail is here. In this shot you can just make out the crack where it's all bent and fatigued. It starts getting complicated here. The piece that the fender mounts to was from my car so I left that in place, look at the giant ass holes I had to make to get the tacks out in the one area where I could actually drill them out. Lower frame area is not going to be much of a challenge, still needs to be preped a bit more though. It's a little ugly here, I can work this out though. Here are some shots of what i cut of of a 260Z, late model.... I'll need to cut out some of the extra bracing but that won't be too hard. What I'm a little worried about is the pitting on what would be the inside of the frame rail. This IS the best patch panel I could find, I've been at all the local JY's over and over for months. Cross section of upper rail. Top view with fender mounting tabs. Upper core support tie in. I'll be replacing the upper support on both sides of the car, nothing wrong with the other side just need a new upper.
  18. lol, I keep thinking the same thing. Then I'm like "What the hell is taking so damn long?!" Work out, shower, rent generator, cut up car at JY, straighten out upper frame rail, weld it in..... seems easy enough. I don't own a welder so I'll probably not get that done until next weekend.
  19. Gold will look good no doubt! Can't wait to see em. It's gonna look reeeeal nice with that minty green! Maaaaybe I'll hit up Canby, all depends on what I get done this weekend and next on my Z, getting up at 630 tomorrow and getting shit done. Got all of that bent up shit out of the Z, gotta get the patch from the JY (ran into some snags the last time) and weld it in, sounds easy but I'm having trouble getting things aligned and the fender is still not sitting right. Few more things here and there and I'll be rolling again though.
  20. Whats the status on those SSR's? What color you thinking? Gold would look good and classic but it's done a bunch. Yellow would look good with the scheme you've already got going, that yellow stripe on the D windows is sick. Pink would be a nice contrast too.... almost wanted some sakura knock offs in pink but will probably go with red on my white 240. Post them pics!
  21. If all you want is tunes and don't care much for sound quality (all the other options posted) then you can just mount the HU under the dash above the heater, there is TONS of room, looks okay too. I did that in the wagon I sold, it had some awful speakers that were total garbage and with the car being miles away from be worthy of a good system, one where the HU I mentioned earlier would actually matter, I just threw a deck I had in my basement under the dash. Sprayed it with flat black paint and it blended in pretty good. Don't know if the new owner likes it much, lol, but at least he got a bad ass CD with it too... KNO and Marq Spekt; Machette Vision
  22. Looks real good with those wheels, I'd run a spacer or just live with it if it's not too bad. It will look sick when those are tucked up in the rear!
  23. Well I was half serious about the 99RS... But it's really just the center piece, you'll end up spending 2-3x more than that on drivers, amps, sound deadening, install and security... that's if your smart about it and do all the work yourself. Check out DIYMA for some research.
