  1. I'm going to drop my truck and I will soon need new shocks upfront. Maybe your stock shocks are bottoming out? I can sell you my stock ones. I can trade them in and get new ones from my warranty.

    My Yello620

Yeah! I had to buy one for my truck for 200$ It nice to know about cheaper ways to make our truck handle better.
  3. Is that it? That is pretty sweet!
  4. The windstar I believe has that some one. But the 620 has no room. I am looking currently at the 4runner cupholders. If your 620 has center tray or use one from a 720. Use that two hole cup holder from a 1990/1995 4runner and make a hole in the center tray and bolt in on. Slides in and out so it wont take away room. :D
  5. It cant hold big bottles. But it can hold a .5L water bottle or a little sody can. Not bad! But I wont be doing it, but it can be done!!!! I need the ash try for my mp3 player... OR!!!! I can.... Yes.... That is what I will DO!!!! YES!
  6. Cant you just get an adaptor? Which side is wrong? The part that does on the cylinder or the line? Edit: I also read that the 620 and the 521 use the same brake drum? But possibly the cylinders use different threads? So can you possibly have to upgrade to 620 cylinders? Just an idea since maybe the hose you got is probably meant for a 620 instead of a 521.
  7. I guess I need the shaft reduced a bit. Here is were the bearing sits now. It sits ahead. Here is a pic of the diff. Its not aluminum.... What type of diff is it? the center does not look like my old one. O well... I will cut it at the very end of the rebuild. I need to do the disks on the front.
  8. I took off the stock 1974 hand brake lines... They were pressed on into the diff from factory and I just pulled them out using some vice grips... That was pretty simple...
  9. This is the story of how it happen. I installed the diff right when the truck was on jackstands grabbing from the frame. So I try next to install the shaft but it wont budge! So I take off the carrier bearing for some play and then install the shaft. looking good! When I try and install the carrier bearing again I cant. The shaft is toooo long!!!! The bearing would only like to stay on the side and it wont let me place it on the middle. So I just install the tires and take it off the jacks and drop it to go inside. Then Datzenmike wanted pics, so I went got my camera and I jacked up the truck from one side only too checked the carrier bearing too take some pics. But now there seems to be more play than before! Huh? It now seems I can install the bearing with out any problems. I think it only hurts the truck when I jack it up off the ground on both sides from the frame? Well here are some pics... (This is how it looked like when the problem occured. Top pic shows that it only wanted to be on its sides when on jacks and bottom pics shows that the only way i could put it in the middle when on the jack stands was way up high like shown. Now when in the floor the drive shaft has more play. But I am afraid that if I take this truck off any sweet jumps, the transmission will fail...) :Note: I am also using hardbody shackles and they seems a little longer than the stock 620 ones. Would that affect anything?!?!!?!? Also How would one swap hand brake lines? They seems metal stamped on! I will try some vice grips to remove them...
  10. I just came back. And yes! I would need to shorten it!!! WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED!!!!! I'll post some pics
  11. Yeah, ben sold it to me. I think it did came off a 5 speed 1979 620. The problem today is that the drive shaft wont fit! Its too long? I'm going to first bolt the diff down and maybe that will set it back a little. Also the hand brake lines are not the same. They are way longer and it has different ends. Sooo... Just cut them off? top from 74 620 bottom 79 620
  12. 521 at the "BIG" PickaPart in Wilmington. complete body wise and window wise. Everything else is gone. 50% today and possibly tomorrow.
  13. Yeah. Those pics are the hardbody poly bushings. I had to use the hardbody shackles and they are on and look great. There was one thing I had to reuse! I cant explain in very well since I don't have pics... The front "stock" bushing is pressed on and in the center there are in each side metal sleeves. I reused those metal sleeves and pressed them on the new poly bushings... That is all... Here are some pics.
  14. So here is what I found... Energy suspension P/N 7.2103g for a hardbody 2wd will work on the 620 springs with little mods. But you do need the Hardbody shackles because the 620 ones wont work. Here are some pics. The rear bushings are easy to take off. Just pop them off! The front ones are pressed on and I had to chisel them out! As you can see the new bushing is the bottom one from the top pic and here it is semi installed. Note: The front eye bushings are a very tight fit. I will freeze them too shrink them and sand down the eye a little since there is some rust inside. Here are the rear eyes. Nice tight and snug! Here are the hardbody shackles that you will need to use. The front bolts might need some trimming. So there you go! New Bushings for my 620! Peace!!!
  15. Why is this so sad. Buy it back duhhh!
  16. "Energy suspension P/N# 2.2107g" is both listed @ the Datsun Faq http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=2129 and the part Numbers http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=4176 .... This kit wont work on a 620... Has any one really tried them? They are smaller and they just wont work.:mad::mad: So me question is, were can I find new ones? The only place who seems to make them new is Superpro who still has the Datsun 620 marked in there catalog with these three part numbers for the rear leaf spring. SPF0055K Rear Spring Front Eye Bushing SPF0056-4K Rear Spring Rear Eye Bushing SPF0228-4K Rear Spring Shackle Upper Bushing There catalog says that these part numbers are not compatible with other cars. So there is no other parts/bushings you could use on the 620 leaf spring. They are unique! So who ever said that "Energy suspension P/N# 2.2107g" would fit a 620 and a 521 please speak up and tell me how and why. Have you even tried them? What I did learn is that I bought energy suspension P/N# 7.2103G from a 1987 Nissan hardbody 2wd. They should probably work with some mods. I will let you know tomorrow if they work or don't. Peace!
  17. Thanks, I will give it a try. I would post pics if some problems occur. THANKS! EDIT: I also did not want to get the 79 diff because I knew it was wider... BUT!!!! The front will be getting disks and I heard that will add some width in the front. So too even it out... I got the 79 diff... Was that a wise decision?
  18. I have this newer diff from a longer kingcab 620 and it seems like the hand brake lines are bigger/longer. How can you take them off so I can install the shorter single cab ones? My truck is a 74 and the diff I want to install is from a 79 620. Thanks!
  19. They throw them away. I had a few datsun manuals that they were going to toss. I will check for you though today....
  20. Ahhh its the 96 and up!!!! I got this 95 with faulty head gaskets, horrible MPG and power... :(
  21. No one suspects a slowrunner with a 3.slow!!!!! Seriously I think its a great idea. My brother is driving his car with out insurance and registration. He just wont listen. I really hope he does not get caught or get into an accident. AND his front license plate is not on... It wont be long before he gets pulled over.
  22. Thanks bonvo! Yeah that is a great idea nis720! The reason I forgot about 4 wheel parts in compton off the 91 is that they dont carry much Nissan parts anymore. I called them and asked... Do you have some SS brake lines for a 95 pathfinder? Nope, we don't care much Nissan parts anymore. Not even body lifts... WOW! Sooooo.... I just forgot about them. Great service BTW! :D (Last month they did not even mention parts for "Nissan" in there catalog. :( They have now changed there layout online and they now mention "Nissan" :o) http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/Body-Lift-Kits.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=20&t_pt=3680
