this is awesome!

Sweet! Can't wait
-
No they won't, you need to buy a bracket to convert to disk brakes
-
Nevertheless, its fun to watch, and I'm definitely looking forward to buying a set

Yeah it wasn't that much, just all new gaskets and stuff. stuffThe hardest part I'd say was drilling the block and head gasket.
Might want to rethink a peanut on this thing. I think my c/r with a open head is 9.9? I gotta check again. Timming is at stock 12, no pinging.
As for power, I almost beat a WRX. Then his turbo kicked in. I get a bunch of wheelspin in 2nd, and chirp in 3rd. (ZX 5spd, 3.73 gears)
yeah i only have w58 peanut heads, but i was thinking of using z24 dished pistons for a compression ratio of around 8.9, ofcourse i would have to grind the rods down to make them clear the pistons as like sealik did. Thats awesome keeping up with a WRX, i raced my managers 2003 beetle and he beat my freshly rebuilt L20b in a roll on haha, then again my weber is very worn out

They aren't that expensive...
Cheaper than a rebuilt engine, that's for sure...
true a cam kit might be cheaper than building a lz23 haha, but i was thinking building the engine first and then maybe getting a cam later, but I'm still considering what i should do.
-
how does the power feel? I want to build an lz23 with stock w58 peanut head as i dont have money for a performance cam haha.
oh and how much did you spend building it?
Thanks, Erick

I'm guessing a .460 lift would be a good mild cam for stock L20B DD.

When you are out on a drive and notice people walking on the sidewalk, then you downshift and floor it so they can hear you L-series and 32/36 weber rumbling past them
-
MM47, it sounds like a fun engine! you should definitely post a video of it on a sprint. :D
-
sounds awesome though! L20b for the win!!!

hey, monkey now that Autozone is getting nissan vehicles, we do get discounts at nissan right?
-
This truck is pure tits, :w00t: that's the same color my 620 was originally. I wish it was still that color.
-
I hate Chrysler Sebring's and 2000ish ford focus's, such crappy cars. I always see them at Autozone for Check Engine Lights.

Seems so Erick. If they have to add washers to shim it out you need to make up that distance with more threads so the bolt engages with enough meat on it to keep from being pulled out or loosening over time.
That makes more sence, he didnt explain to me he had to shim it. Thanks Southercross.

I went to a tire shop about a month ago, and the tech told me that i needed a longer bolt for the control arm so he could adjust the camber. It didn't make sense to me at the time, because i thought they needed factory parts in order to adjust it. Is it true that i would need longer control arm bolts?
thanks, erick

I'm having the same problem, would you happen to have a picture of, the pedal stopper?
Thanks, Erick

So when you push the vent button it is supposed to actually heat? when i open it, it always blows cold and the heat comes from the way bottom door on the heater, and I think its kind of odd but i got used to it already.

I wouldn't recommend a KA swap yet, simply because your truck has drum brakes all around. Plus the L- series engines are very reliable and easy to work on :)
