  1. Don't have time to do major work.I feel better getting it done right.I've had about 3 blown head gaskets in 30 years and they have done it right.Even had a Jasper engine installed by a Jasper installer back in 2009.Jasper only sells to installers.I have 106,000 miles on it.Check out my 39 year old truck.I am doing something right.

  2. About 1500 to do the head gasket around here. The head may be warped.Need to send out to a machine shop, have the valves adjusted.I always send mine out to get done. They will pressure test it too. Also check the cat for blockage, get rid of it if you can.I did.Mine has new head bolts and new timing chain.

  3. Your charcoal cannister is different than mine.Your fuel line must be going to the fuel line toward the starter.Someone  must of  disconnected at the regular place by the valve cover. Also your vacuum lines are running wild.Hard to figure out how someone butchered your engine area. Was your 720 carburetored from factory.

  4. That film I put over the brake master cylinder with rubber band does good. Not all of the fluid went out.I only had to pump the brakes 5 times then hold, then all air came out.Did it again and no more air came out.Did it again just to make sure.I used my one man bleeder kit,and wife pumped the brake. One time did it.I put some brake fluid in the other wheel cylinder to see if it will release the piston.

  5. I got the driver side done. The other wheel cylinder is locked up on one side.I was using that one first and the the piston will not go in so I took off and used the other one.I called O'Reilly's and they said Wednesday. So I will driver it like it is.O'Reilly sucks.

  6. It is raining here. But anyway,I went out there in to put the wheel cylinder on so all the brake fluid would not leak out.The O'Rielly's part is not good. The  bleeder valve stem is not a 5/16,it is a 10mm.I had to take the bleeder valve stem off to get in opening. The bleeder valve stem is longer than the one I took off.Just like the O'Reilly's water pump, don't buy.The long bolts on that are not on it where it won't come off.Auto Zone's parts fit way better. This part I put on says made in China.Auto Zone may also be made there.I just hope it works.Hope the brake shoes fit.

  7. When you push dial, make you  you push slowly and it has no resistance. If it does, keeping doing till it doesn't.Then set it at 0.Then gently push and let go and see if it springs back to zero. Also, check to make sure your electrical connector is secure in back of speedometer.I made mine longer.

  8. Here is the dust cover on the brake back plate.I took off and used a flat head screw driver and pushed the star tensioner down to release brakes from hub. Here are the screws that I used to screw in holes in hub to push it out.It is a phillips head.I had in my screw bucket.Came out so easy.Time to order new brake shoes.I replaced these hubs years ago.

  9.  My bad.I just rubbed my finger under the bottom of the brake backing.Yes the wheel cylinder is leaking.I will start getting the rear hubs off I will probably  order some new brake shoes. No local Auto part stores have any 720 parts in stock.Oh well.I will show what I find when I get the hub off.

  10. My wheel cylinders came in today from O'Reilly's.I filled the brake reservoir up yesterday.I just got home from work and shopping.I opened the hood and reservoir is full.I crawled under the truck and rear driver tire is bone dry.I am fixing to get the stain off the tire. Now it is a mystery to me. Shows sign of something been on the tire and dried.Nothing in the area is wet.No rain here in a very long time.I have stopped using my emergency brake every since I filled up the reservoir yesterday.I thought I saw it dripping yesterday at the rear tire.I am fixing to go out there and pull my emergency brake and see if it will cause the wheel cylinder to leak. What is everybody's take on this?
