When you get the other tank cleaned, get yourself a kit from eastwood and coat the inside. It will keep it from rusting on the inside as it gives it a plastic lining. They also sell a gavinizing paint for the out side to protect it. I used their stuff on my 55 and 57 Chevy tanks, even cleaned the 57 tank with their stuff, and it came out real nice.
