  1. When I was a kid I knew a guy that had a Hemi powered 56 F100 show truck that had polished copper plumbing under the hood it even had a faucet mounted to the radiator cap. This is the first time I have seen it since. 😀
  2. Look up ugly truck in the dictionary and that is the picture you will see! 🤣
  3. My best friend in high school had a 61 Impala 348 solid lifter 3 twos (350 hp) 4 speed with 4.11s. It ran strong enough to stay side by side with a 63 425 hp 409. That car was incredible for what it was. The 350 hp engines were very rare I once saw production numbers which I don't remember but there weren't many built.
  4. With that much intake and carburetors I would hope it's a 409. 🙄
  5. Nothing prettier than a shiny flathead! 🤩
  6. Once the car was sideways it turned into a wing and went airborne with no rudder to steer.
  7. I finally found better info on Motion 1 and the crash. The wreck was caused by a broken axle sending the car sideways at around 425 mph. Here is a pic of one of his earlier Bonneville record breaking cars.
  8. Thanks for the info, very interesting! I did some looking and he was a very interesting guy with a lot of talent. I couldn't find any info on what caused the crash only that it happened at around 385 mph. He had several race cars that ran in several different classes at Bonneville, a funny car and a top fuel car as well. He owned B&N Automotive along with Bert Peterson.
  9. I remember the Hairy Oldsmobile but the Terrifying Toronado I hadn't seen before.
