  1. I had one of those back in the 70s.
  2. I have never seen that one before, more info please?
  3. You do know you do not need to use a hosting service to post pictures anymore? You just click choose files and then load the pic directly from your computer or phone.
  4. Yes but with the good off road package and the good stuff it is a lot more. I wouldn't want one that wasn't equipped for serious off roading. Starting price for the Wild Track that comes with the 35 inch tires is $48,875 before you add any options so you are talking over 50K and that is not the top of the line First Edition which starts at $59,305. Now compare that to a loaded 77 with a lift, 33s, Detroit Locker rear, and a TruTrc front and the gap widens a lot. I paid $1,900 for my 76 in 1984 and put another $2,000 or so in it including the above diffs, ported 351 heads, Holley 4 barrel, headers with dual 2.5 exhausts and a top loader 4 speed conversion. I wish I could have kept it but when our economy here went bad I had no choice.
  5. You got it, I had been unemployed so long by the time I moved to LA for the job that I had lost everything, wife house, newer vehicle ETC. I had to borrow money from a relative to make the move for a $6.60 per hour part time job. It took 7 years to get full time and a transfer back to Colorado but I managed to move to a better area after a couple of years. I retired 31 years later @ $37.00 per hour with flight benefits and a livable pension.
  6. Yeah, the original was a very good off road vehicle for a reasonable price the new one is an incredible off road vehicle for a lot more money than I can afford!
  7. When I first moved to LA for my job at UA I would be on the balcony of my apartment when 747s would land you could reach up and touch the landing gear, at least it felt like it! 🤣
