October '69 is the introduction of the rectangular front and rear marker lights however the L16 was introduced 4? months earlier in July 69 so yes! there are PL521s with round rear marker lights. What are on the front fenders?
Mine are round front and rear.

Thanks for the feedback. It all fits. My research since posting this is that the federal law regarding side markers was that at least reflectors were required in either 1968 or '69, depending on the source of the information. Everyone is in agreement that 1970 was the first year of required running lights on the side.
I'll be posting my truck for sale in the next few days here. I'm the second owner, bought it in 1972 with 40k miles. Pretty much all original. Runs great. Have a good spare engine too. Just showed it this weekend for the first time at the Route 66 car show in Ontario, CA. I've put $8k into the restoration so far…
Your pics are too small.....
😄
Mine has an L16 and the round lights. Not exactly sure on the year. -
Welcome,
My 521 has the round reflectors.- 1

Hello and welcome,
There is no 'kit' available for the 620.
You can still get most of the stock rubber parts but you do have to order them individually.
Rockauto, Amazon and Ebay are good places to find what you'll need. -

Ah the eccentricity of an early Jeep. I remember the signal assembly with the rubber roller to cancel the lights, the under seat storage bin, and the hasps that latched the windshield. I bought a set of Advance Adapters windshield clamps to upgrade those factory hasps - sort of better but you had to really pull the windshield back and spin the knob in since it didn't pull like the original hasp did. Stronger though. I wished mine had the tailgate, was a solid back instead.
My '75 had every available factory option - AM radio (under dash pod w/ single speaker) AND tachometer! Levi's trim to boot - probably why the 2 options 🙂
I need a new clasp on the drivers side, but it still latches pretty solid.
There's a levi interior package on marketplace right now, not my thing though. -

@datzenmikesorry for the late reply to everyone. I work a lot unfortunately. Yes it was the 3/4 I did find one I think. We cleaned this one out an everything looked fine so we put it back an is working great. I have a picture I'll have to learn how to share it on here though lol.
Once you have enough posts you will be able to upload oics directly to the forums

So you use the entire Hardbody 5 spd and TX-10 t-case? What gears and where do you get them?
There are a coupleThis is the first that comes to mind.

NW Fab has a kit to put a Dana 300 behind one. Haven't really looked into that though being a Dana 20 guy lol
Nissan T-cases have a large following outside the US as well so there may be more upgrades out there that I am unaware of. 🙂- 1

Lower gears in the axles puts less strain on the t-case. So if you're running 5.38s in the diffs, the t-case takes much less loading than if you had 4.10s in the diffs.
@]2eDeYe - you got any ideas?
This is the way.
You can get low gears for the TX-10 T-case. Not sure if that is the same as the one in the 720.
You can get a hardbody 5-speed if the stock one goes. It is newer bigger better.- 1

521 has correct thread pitch but has fittings coming out end so it usually won’t fit .
You have to change the fitting end or get an adapter ,,, BUT a B210 slave will fit pretty close .. Go on Rockauto to check shape .
Depending on R or J it might take a tiny bit of artistic grinding
@]2eDeYe can help with the part number ( link) for thread adapter
That was a long time ago 🙂
You should be able to find any adapter you need on mcmaster.com
Or have a custom line made a local 4x4 or hotrod shop.- 2

I fondly remember my '75 CJ5, it was a beast.
Is your "roll bar" like what mine was? bolted to the rear tub only, if I'd ever rolled it simply would have punched through the sheet metal
It is bolted to the tub in six places and I added connectors to the frame at the front and rear mounts.

Some pics. If you didn't watch the video it did run. I actually drove it back to my house and am in the process of fixing the reasons it was parked.
My son still has his 85 Yota 🙂
Clean up
I am thinking I will leave the paint be at this point. A bit of history in those layers.
Parts are coming in, new tires on the way. Can't wait to take it out for ice cream 🙂

This will be awesome 😄

That is the bolt pattern on the heavy truck axles that it uses.

I believe those are hardbody wheels.

they don't take kindly to larger than stock tires. With stock size tires they move along adequately.
Good point, regearing for larger tires is a real good idea. I have 4:88 gears in my 4x4 620 with 35"s

Welcome
I am a bit biased but the single cam KA24E is a great engine to swap in.
