  1. Yeah Sierra, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a B210 posted on craigslist for parting out at a junkyard. I called the owner and he went out and checked the dash pad for me and said no cracks. It was $50 firm and totally worth it. Like I said, it was so white and faded but a good cleaning and armor all about 5 times over made it look super new. I also took the dash speaker from that car and maybe the anti-dieseling solenoid from the carb. Charolastra. I'm not far from you in Evergreen Park. I'm currently in California doing some work here. Yeah, the paint job was around $450 at Maaco. haha.
  2. Hey PineClone...one rear bumper end is in bad shape, the rest a pretty solid. Hey EricsB210! how's it going? Yeah, I remember I sold you the AM/FM B210 radio and some other small parts. I found that dash pad in a junkyard southeast of Portland. I pulled it off myself, which was awesome in order to learn how it attaches. It was all white and faded but 4-5 armor alls later and its beautiful. My old one had the classic crack throughout the center speaker holes.
  3. Thanks guys. ericsb210...yes, at one time I lived in Bremerton, then Bainbridge Island...circa 2009-2010.
  4. I meant to say ggzilla.
  5. Thanks Road Warrior. It's a 1978...as old as me.
  6. Thanks mrmark. It's decent. It has some rust spots and a decent amount of body filler. The color is Maaco's best match of the original Nissan paint code.
  7. Below are pics of my car and the sought after intact dash pad I found outside of Portland a few years back. It's couped up in a garage on the south side of Chicago. I love this little beast. What do you think of it? I I
  8. Hi. I'm in need of a new drivers side door hinge for my B210 2 door coupe. Anybody have a solid one lying around?
  9. Try searching "rear window louvers"
  10. Hey DottiBlue, I am interested in the rear bumper black corners and the black rubber gear shifter handle. You need a socket set with larger sockets for the bumper, and a screw driver for removal of most of the parts. If you head back there grab the parts and I'll be willing to work out a deal for a fair price of your liking.
  11. I have one. It's not perfect though. I would charge 10 bucks plus shipping from Chicago.
  12. I have a 1978 B 210 2 door coupe with an A14 automatic and get 28 to 29mpg consistently.
  13. Has anyone replaced a front windshield and used an aftermarket rubber surround? I have a '78 B210 2 door coupe and may want to do this. I believe there are some for sale on ebay. Let me know and send a picture if possible.

    Hitachi Carb

Thanks 420, I have 4 other carbs. I'll give them a rusted one without the anti-dieseling solenoid on it. We'll see if that will fly. Do you think it's a good try to get one of the carbs? I don't dabble too much on my own and labor costs can build up. My experience in Seattle was not the best as far as finding someone who can fix the carb and get me on my way without something happening 1 week later. I am now in Chicago and have my B210 in the garage away from salt. I just want to get a decent carb thats been cleaned and tested and operates above average.

    Hitachi Carb

After endless tweeking, vacuum leak fixing, fast idling and anti-dieseling solenoid swapping, I am thinking of purchasing a remanufactured carb from national carburetor. The B210 carb for 1978 runs $149 plus $40 for core charge (not sure what that means). Anyway, my question is has anyone tried a carb from this company?
  16. thanks for the great advice for troubleshooting. What product should I use to re-seal the seams from the firwall to the inner fender?
  17. Thanks BASA. Thanks for having me. I'm loving all the tips and tricks and plan to post some of my future projects.

  18. Help!!!! I did read the post on IMG code posting...so I joined photobucket and pated the IMG code and got an error message from Ratsun. Any help would be great. I'd like to post pictures in a decent size but I also want to do it in a timely manner. Sorry I am having problems.
  19. Thanks for your input. I have seen a stream of water trickling from the wall above to the left of the brake pedal and higher up. I should confrim this by spraying a hose on the driver's side windshield surrounds(15 degrees in Chicago right now and she's in the garage away from road salt...) But, still I am not sure to answer your question. So you say a panel seam... on the floor board? I'm not certain I can vision this. For example, I parked my car outside in front of my friends home in Aberdeen for a weekend. It rained pretty hard. When I returned 1.5 days later, there was about a liter of water pooling on the drivers floor (bare metal as I had already removed the carpet and padding). I do have a knock in my drivers door hinge when opening it to the last allowed degrees of motion. Water may be coming in through the door? Not sure. But I do know that I've seen the trickle from above the gas and brake pedal and to the left on the inside of the firewall (AM I'm saying this correct? The wall behinf the pedals.) Thanks again for the inquiry. I will certainly appreciate any further input. Take good care.
  20. I have a leak in my windshield (1978 B210 2 door coupe). When it rains, and the car is parked, I will return to it and see approximately a cup of water on the drivers side floor(I've had to cut out the drivers side carpet because of this). I believe the leak is from windshield and is dripping on down the inside of the firewall and collecting at the floor of the drivers side. Now, I've tried silicone on the outside and it hasn't helped. My questions: - Can I have this fixed by having a professional re-seal the windshield by removing the windshield and applying black goop stuff around the window? If so, how will this be done without bending and destroying the delicate exterior chrome stripping that outlines the rubber seal? Do they make aftermarket windshield surrounds? Any thoughts on this would be great. I'd like to repair this first then install a new molded carpet.
  21. Hello, Check out some of the pictures I've posted. Thanks for having me here.
