I hate having to use my bed hooks all the time. Plus, they're sometimes too high to tie short stuffs. So with a rough idea in my head, i made these w/ scrap that was lying around the shop: Big thanks to Nelson @ AMI for the material and use of the welder and plasma cutter. There were cars parked everywhere a car can be parked. They even started lining um up along the access road that the drag cars use to head back to the pits. Oh yeah. THat's another thing. The drag races are going on at the same time. This spot is like Mecca. Beaches' Bar & Grill was serving up food and drink and they sponsored music. Car show. Bike show (bikers were there in force.) Drag racing. HOLY COW! Yup, we're going uurlier next week. The only thing missing were select imports. Other then us Dats, there were Brits and Germans. Nothing of the Mugen or Nissan dialect that I saw. Also w/ that, no cute asian gurlies walking around. ;) Hahahaha. And MY asian cutie was at work. -Brian

Thanks boss. Yeah, getting used to someone else touching my vehicles took some time to get used to. I still don't like it. But yeah, you can jump out and watch. I've heard also that once they put the pump in, technically you can hold it yourself. No fuking way!! You too this week. I'm only glad that it didn't happen to me w/ my wife in the car. Ok, before any non-oregonian people call me a dumbshit, we are not allowed to fill our own gas in Oregon. SO here we go.... I fill this morning. On my way. Meeting over and heading home. The freeway offramp to my house is a nice 25MPH loop. Any other day and the 521 takes it at 45 w/o a prob.. WHOA! Not today. Halfway through, and I feel the rear slip. It wasn't one of these "i'll counter, get things controlled and come out w/ maybe a cool drift." Fuck no. Grip then NOTHING. 180 and i'm being passed by people who were behind me; gocking as they pass. WTF. Hmmm. I smell gas. I'm thinking that its just a little overflow from the sloshing around. Nothing new. I get the truck back on track and continue home. Hmmm. Still smell gas. NOT normal. I check to see if I perf'd the filler or pulled a hose loose. Nope, smell coming from behind filler door. THAT FUCKING PRICK FACED GAS ATTENDANT BASTARD!!! The gas cap is half on, half off. Cocked to the side w/ one locking tab in and one out. Then I notice the rear tire that I thought was just dull from being cover in "slide" dust. Fuck no. Its fuel washed. All the shiny shit is gone. SO! The best as I can figure, because I was banking pretty hard around the offramp, the fuel shifted and stared pouring out of the kneck. Once it hit the tire treads BYE BYE GRIP! That's why the slide was so violent and sudden. In short. Be lucky you other peeps can fill your own shit. I've heard other stories of filler f-ups.
