They are 45's I went back and forth between the 42's and 45's I thought the 42's would be to small and when I got the 45's in they seemed big. I fired them up yesterday and had it idleing at 800rpms in no time and it is super responsive the acletetor pump sprays the fuel straight into the head. I had dual dual 40DCOE and they just seemed like to much carb for 2.0L These 45's seem just about right.
I took a short test drive last night (no air fitlers) should get them tomorrow. The induction sounds is Sweet sounding. I wasnt ever getting on it to much with the rebuilt eng. Tighter sounding than dual DCOE webers.
I noticed http://www.piercemanifolds.com/newproducts.htm has them available. The guy in New York mods them for the
for car use.
I will post updates later.
Mikuni HSR carbs. made for Harley D. but Vintage Performance mods them for cars. I had them idling at 800rpms in no time and they are super responsive.

Here is pic of my new mirror. I didnt want to drill any holes so I found this one flebay. I think it looks pretty cool. I fired up my LZ2.2 this weekend ready to take it for test drive hopefully today.
Here is a couple of pics of mine I got from ebay company out of tx for $119.00 and had a local shop put it in for $250. I had the windows out. Its a light grey color and turned out real nice. there was enough material left for the visors.
Hey D Mike, thanks for the response.
It is still a L20B block just bored and Z crank. I guess the L20B is still 2cm taller causing the exhuast pipe to hit, guess I use the exhuast hanger and try and pull it over.
After two hours of wiggling, pushing and cursing i got the LZ2.2 installed. The exhuast is hitting the on the down pipe. It didnt hit on the L18 I took out. I slotted the motor mount holes and so I have some adjustment. The oil pan is not hitting the x-member. Any ideas how to correct this/ I am going to try some ehaust hanger and pull it over to clear.
Just need some carbs and I'll be ready to fire it up!
Been a while since I posted. Here is My Space, I have been busy buildng my LZ2.2 liter you can see it in the background. Just about got the engine bay and wiring detailed, getting ready to drop it in.
I have rebuilt my L20 and I installed the oil pump spindle and its really close to the 11:25 pos. but I am going to do it again just to check it since its on the stand. easier then in the car.
you sure it doesnt matter if the black box is in the front or rear? I guess thinking about it if the box was seperate from the dizzy just the wires coming out, it wouldnt matter you would just install and where ever the rotor is pointing to number 1 plug wire and go from there.
I guess i am making more out of this than there really is.
thank you very much Hainz. I just wasnt sure if it mattered on which way the black box was positioned. I am going to pull my oil pump and reclock it just make sure the rotor is pointing at number one.
I am rebuilding my L2.2 and using a E12-80 dizzy. I am pretty sure I have the dizzy shaft lined up correct at 11:30. I am not sure which way the match box goes in toward the radiator or in the back towards the firewall. When I have it installed towards the firewall it makes the rotor point towards the radiator. and if I flip the dizzy mouont and the black box it towards the raditor it makes the rotor point towards the the firewall.
? what side should the black box go on?
When it was installed in my L18 the PO had the blackbox was toward the radiator, and the ear of the dizzy mount was pointing toward the radiator, but this was a tight fit with the upper radiator hose. on the L20 I dont think this would be a problem.
I just want to make sure I get it correct.
Any help please.
Hit the first snag. I cant get the brake lines loose from the brake clyinder, :( going to look for a brake line wrench tomorrow. Maybe replace the brake lines from the splitter on the diff.
I am installing some 240z drums and I have to take machine off some of the cooling fins in order for them to fit.
Here is a pic of the Recarco I had in my ol dime, they are out of a BMW e30, I just pick up another set for my goon, on flea bay for $400, have to make custom brackets to mount them.
